DICTATION 1
(extracted from Oxford Course Book "Think Do Learn 5")

Heat and light are both forms of energy. But temperature and heat refer to two different things. The temperature of an object tells us how hot the object is. Heat is the amount of thermal energy that an object has.

Thermal energy affects objects in different ways. For example, it makes them expand or move. It can also change the state of an object, for example from a solid to a liquid.

Light is a form of energy that travels through air and space in waves. The Sun is a natural source of light, but many artificial light sources have been invented too. For example, light bulbs and computer screens both produce light energy. Light enables us to see things around us.

EXPERTS GROUPS   How does it work?

1) Each of the groups of our class will have to cover a unique topic:

GROUP 1--> Prehistory: STONE AGE (Paleolithic and Neolithic)
GROUP 2 --> Prehistory: METAL AGES
GROUP 3 --> History: ANCIENT HISTORY (Phoenicians, Greeks and Carthaginians)
GROUP 4-->  History: ANCIENT HISTORY (The Romans)
GROUP 5 --> History: ANCIENT HISTORY (The fall of the Roman Empire)

Each group has 3 lessons to prepare their work. To identify the important information, look at "indicadores" of your "plan de trabajo" and select those you think you have to cover. Prepare some

2) After the “experts” have learnt their assigned topics in-depth, they will be dispersed into numbered groups, which will contain one “expert” from each group. During this time, “experts” will present their topic to the other "experts" of the group.

3) You discuss with your numbered group which questions you think you should be able to answer for each topic (look again at "indicadores" of your "plan de trabajo!") and make notes that help you to remember the information.

The last day you will have to answer a test about all the topics.

GET ON WITH IT!
